Hey guys I was recently trying to create a back up of an old Playstation 1 game. FF7 to be exact. The game freezes so I can't play it, so I was seeing if I could burn it and then use CDMAGE on it to fix the bad sectors. Although I get this read error to show up

Looks as a scratched/dirty disc to me. If the source disc can't be read, there isn't much more to do than to try to clean the disc.

I've tried everything to clean it and tried buffing out the scratch nothings worked.. all I need though is for this to burn completely so i can send the copy to CDmage so it can fix the sectors that are scratched. So is there anyway to get it to continue burning even if its unable to read the certain parts?

There should be a pop up window that asks you if you want to ignore read errors, but you just end up with a useless image as vital info is missing due to the reading errors.

So even if I get it to burn completely the CDMage wont be able to fix it..? To me it sounds like im stuck having to replace the game =(

Go to a video-rental store and try their professional CD cleaners. It has worked for me when all else failed and they only charged me $2. They put it in a machine that they use to resurface their rental DVDs.
