I want to burn several ISO files all about 1 gig in size each for viewing on one disc (using Verbatim double layer) and had success following the directions of getting the files into a folder to burn, but of course, after the burn they came up as ISO files, exactly what I had already unable to play on anything. I am sure it is an easy fix but getting old has its problems. :) Any help appreciated.

If there are no menus, you can use DVD Shrink to do a new compilation in re-author mode.

You can mount the images with a program such as DVDFab Virtual Drive and then just pick them up into DVD Shrink.

The above is if you have them in .vob/.ifo/.bup format inside the isos.

What filetype/format are the movies inside the ISOs?
