jthomas5150 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I have looked around and never found a good answer. Is it sill "OK" to use DVD Decrypter to rip DL DVDs and then burn with Imgburn? Does DVD Decrypter tell Imgburn where to put the layerbreak? I am just asking because I see a lot of people talking about layerbreaks and what have you... I want to ensure good compatibility with my home DVD players!

In most places its against the law to bypass copyright protection so nobody here is going to give you their blessings ,what you do is strictly on you .The new version of Imgburn v2 will be able to set the layerbreak the mds file will also put the layerbreak in the right position and also a program called PGCedit can do it ,its a free download
blutach Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Here's the PgcEdit guide, written by a total idiot (well, that's what CD freaks says of him). http://www.digital-digest.com/~blutach/dl_..._pgcedit_v2.htm Regards
lfcrule1972 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Nice guide blu - can I link to it too mate ? Btw did CDfreaks really call the author an idiot ?
jthomas5150 Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 So why can't you just use DVD Decrypter to rip and Imgburn to burn? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I am just trying to understand. Blu's guide able seems like an awful lot of steps... Thanks!
cornholio7 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 sorry but we are not allowed to offer advice about decrypter on this forum
