ESmith Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hey guys, Ive downloaded an OEM copy of the Windows XP Media Center Edition installation disk and im trying to burn a bootable DVD so that i can use it to repair an old Dell. The Guide said I could let ImgBurn copy the boot image from the original disk. Since I do not have the original disk but instead I downloaded the files, I'm lost as to what to do about the boot image. Any Suggestions? Thanks in advance guys.
Cynthia Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Sure that the downloaded image file is not already bootable? Select the image in the write mode and see what it says on the row for file systems.

ianymaty Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 You don't need to extract anything from the iso. Use Write image file to disc, select the iso as source, put a blank disc in the drive and hit Burn button.

Thanks for the help!
ianymaty Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 You mean this Guide? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=11190 That guide is for when you want to slipstream SP's and integrate the updates in the installation disc. It's pretty self explaining, what you need to do if you need it.
