Budge Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Hi, first of all, i'm sorry for posting what seems to be a duplicate post, i was unable to reply to the previous topic. I seem to be having the same problem in that i can't seem to burn a DVD. The log i get is: I 23:53:16 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! I 23:53:16 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6002 : Service Pack 2) I 23:53:16 Total Physical Memory: 1,037,568 KB - Available: 274,288 KB I 23:53:16 Initialising SPTI... I 23:53:16 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 23:53:16 -> Drive 1 - Info: DTSOFT BDROM 1.05 (G:) (Virtual) I 23:53:16 -> Drive 2 - Info: MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ870QJ 1.00 (D:) (ATA) I 23:53:16 -> Drive 3 - Info: HUAWEI Mass Storage 2.31 (E:) (USB) I 23:53:16 Found 1 DVD±RW/RAM, 1 BD-ROM and 1 Unknown! At the bottom of the burn window, it tells me that 'Device not ready (incompatible medium Installed). Now it is an old laptop thats had to had the OS reinstalled after a format. as i can tell with the log, i should be fine, as far as i can tell, i have a DVD Burner, could it be some kind of driver issue, although device manager says my drivers are up to date? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Chris
ianymaty Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Before reinstalling the OS you could burn those discs? Your drive seems to tot like them. Update firmware for your drive http://www.firmwarehq.com/Matshita/UJ-870QJ/files.html
