Could it be that you have some virus then that makes your system not want to run as it should?

 

I guess you got a crash window and sent a crash report to the author from that one?

Do you have lots of mapped network drives or some other weird items that show up when you open '(My) Computer' ?

 

It looks like the Explorer style component on the Disc Layout Editor window might be running into problems.
