Dual layer verbatim discs

i have been trying to burn something on a a dual layer verbatim disc for awhile and yet it hasn't been working it says disc is not empty yet i bought the pack of dl dvds sealed i figured i would check in on here to see if anyone knew of this error happening to anyone else or if someone could help me with this problem any help is appreciated thanks
