realtreat Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 hi guys i currently own quite a few dvd writers pioneer 115 and 215 pioneer 116 and 216 pioneer 118 and 219 plextor 860a and 860sa and a sony nec optiarc from 2007 and recently a 2010 model samsung unsure of model. these are spread over 3 pcs i have. i'm wondering what drives are best compatible with imgburn and or produce the best burning results. i've always used plextor and pioneer drives. but pioneer and plextor don't seem to be as good as they once was. any info would be welcome thanks.
mmalves Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 ImgBurn is compatible with any CD / DVD / HD-DVD / BluRay burner that complies with the MMC standard, which means pretty much any drive newer than 1998. As for burn quality, have a look in our Drives and our Media sections. You can also find more information in the MyCE / CDFreaks forums.
