Grumpydev Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I'm using ImgBurn to create ISOs and I'm using the UDF file system and a long (37 character) volume label, but when I burn or mount the ISO (with Virtual Clone Drive) the volume label is cutoff at 32 characters. When I open the ISO back in ImgBurn it shows the correct label - I've tried UDF 1.02 and 1.5 - same problem. I'm 75% sure I'm not doing anything stupid - does anyone know of a workaround to get the full label to show, or does Windows just not support UDF volume labels properly?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Windows just displays a max of 32 characters.
Grumpydev Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Windows just displays a max of 32 characters. Bugger. Thanks. As a feature request any chance of a "Windows compatibility" checkbox that stops me adding more than that? Saves me counting characters in notepad :-)
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 ImgBurn tells you how many you've typed in (and the max length) down the bottom.
