hellonone1 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I found that sometimes after using ImgBurn to write an .iso image to a CD/DVD disc, my newly written CD/DVD disc cannot be read by the DVD drive. After some investigation, I found that when I issued a "dir d:" command in the Command Prompt (assume d: is my DVD drive), I will get the "The parameter is incorrect" error. I need to logoff my Windows and login again to be able to resolve this problem. Here are my hardware configurations: Asus P6T Deluxe V2 Seagate 1.5T hard disk x 2 (setup in RAID1 using the builtin ICH10R RAID capability) Plextor PX-L890SA SATA DVD writer Plextor PX-880SA SATA DVD writer ImgBurn 2.5.5.0 Windows 7 Ultimate with Service Pack 1 x64 I have installed the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager Driver V8.9.0.1023 for Windows downloaded from ASUS website. It seems to me that the "The parameter is incorrect" problem is caused by ImgBurn. Please investigate.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Do you disable autoplay/run or anything? If Windows doesn't realise that a disc has been removed (or inserted, burnt and removed), it can get confused. Ejecting the tray via the context menu on the drive (in 'Computer'), pressing F5 to refresh and then inserting it again (making sure ImgBurn is closed) will normally make it realise something has changed.
