Hi -

I'm trying to burn an ISO which is about 7.5GB to a Verbatim 2.4x DVD+r DL (8.5GB0. When I put the blank disk in the drive, it spins for a bit then says

Device Not Ready (No Seek Complete).

I have a Thinkpad T42, with a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-812 K103 (ATA) drive.

I have never burned anything with this drive.

I put a commercial film DVD in the drive, and ImgBurn printed out this in the right-hand window:

Physical Format Information (Last Recorded - L1):

However, when I put the blank disk in, this is what is displayed in the right-hand window:

MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-812 K103 (ATA)

Current Profile: N/A

I have a pack of 20 Verbatim disks; I've tried 3-4 of them, all with the same results.

Any hints?

Right-click on the burner's name and go to Capabilities, is DVD+R DL ticked under Write Capabilities? From what I've found on Google it seems your burner only supports burning DVD-R/DVD-RW media at 2x, no support for DVD+R or DVD+R DL media.
