olc Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) I have bought a Pioneer BDR-206, my first blu-ray, and have trouble getting burns to finish. I am producing files (BDMV) with DVDFab or AnyDVDHD. I have tried letting DVDFab initiate the burn with ImgBurn and doing it directly. The majority of the time I produce a coaster at about 80% complete. System is Win7 on Core i7 and 6GB RAM. olc Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) A new firmware 1.05 is out for your drive http://www.firmwarehq.com/Pioneer/BDR-206/files.html Maybe you want to try a lower speed since your hard drive is having trouble feeding the drive with data or stop havy task programs. Make sure you have the latest chipset/storage drivers installed. This site might help. http://www.ma-config.com/ The 1.05 firmware has problems detecting the burner and Googling about this show everyone is having the same problem. I have contacted Pioneer US about this and they said it's only for the Japan models and there is no way to install it in my burner. I recently installed the all the ASUS motherboard drivers so that should not be it. I would suspect media but Nero 10 burns to it without problems, though I can't figure out how to do it from a BDMV folder. ImgBurn has always worked flawlessly in the past with DVD and CD so I am a bit confused. I will try a forced 4x write speed. Thanks. Edited March 20, 2011 by olc
