Has been working in the past but I tried to burn a image to a DVD+RW and when it format/erase, it stops at 99%. I couldn't close the app, so I did a ctrl/alt del and stop it. Tried another disc, same thing. Thought my DVD drive died but am able to format/erase from Windows. I uninstalled ImgBurn and reinstalled but still does the same thing. I have the current version, so no help there. I was able to burn the image from another app that does this.

It starts erasing counting up in percentages then shows Erasing Disc.. for a few seconds and then shows 99%-Erasing Disc.. where it stays.

I been trying to install the W7 SP1 lately but like many others without any success. I wonder if that has caused this issue??

Just found out that it will erase a CD-RW but still not a DVD+RW.

Look for the latest drivers for your chipset/storage controllers (this website might help).

False alarm! Found a old similiar post where it mention that a format would take 15 minutes. Sure enough, exactly 15 minutes later it finished the erasing and continued on. This is a new PC and my first with a DVD, although I've burned DVD+RW before, I don't remember the Format/Erase taking that long or maybe I just wasn't present to watch. From Windows, it doesn't take no where near 15 minutes to format.

The first time it takes a bit long time to format it correctly. The next time when you format with ImgBurn it will only take some seconds. Other programs do not really format the disc in a proper way, that's why they are faster.

Yes, I believe you are correct. I burned the same image using another app and you can see the burned section on the disc but on the one with ImgBurn the entire disc is burned.

Who ever wrote this app had a sense of humor also with the comments that show up!
