e1375 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hi ALL !!! I am following a recipe found on the internet to burn a BD-RE disc. The recipe seems to work fine, in fact, Imgburn finishes burning indicating everything was OK and after inserting the BD-RE in the player, starts reading as usual, displays the time counter at 00:00:00, displays a black screen and remains in that state forever. The recipe I am using can be found using the following string in Google "Burn Blu-ray's: a How To Guide for Burning BD-R discs"; is from July 30, 2008 and uses Imagburn. If any of you expert guys could take a quick look at the guide and give me some advice, I would appreciate it very much. The content I am burning is a BDMV folder containing a concert, less than 25GBs the main stream (00000.M2TS) can be seen in my PC with "Media Player Classic"; it has no protection issues. The contents of the BDMV folder look like this: Name Extension Size Modified BACKUP 45,986 1/28/2011 6:23:48 PM BDJO 164 1/28/2011 6:23:48 PM CLIPINF 44,640 1/28/2011 6:23:48 PM JAR 807,428 1/28/2011 6:23:50 PM PLAYLIST 980 1/28/2011 6:23:50 PM STREAM 23,878,569,984 1/28/2011 3:32:10 PM index.bdmv bdmv 120 1/28/2011 3:41:50 PM MovieObject.bdmv bdmv 82 1/28/2011 3:41:50 PM Thanks for your help, e1375
mmalves Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 If it burns and verifies fine then it's out of ImgBurn's hands. Have you looked if your player doesn't need it in a special format?

Not that I am aware of. I have two BD players; a stand alone unit connected to my TV and the one I have on the PC to burn BDs. In both units the result is the same. Black screen. Could it be that the contents of other folders might be interfering? or creating an incompatibility issue?
