I have just made coasters from an entire pack of Verbatim discs

As the title says, ive just made coasters from all 10 discs which I ordered from Amazon a few days ago. They are Verbatim DVD+R DL discs and I am trying to create backups of my sons Xbox360 games. I have tried using several different versions of ImgBurn (as well as other programs like CloneCD and Nero) and each time the burn fails before it even gets to 1% with a write i/o error.

 

Sadly I forgot to take a screenshot but heres one which looks like the error I get:

 

I have read that I should update the drivers for my DVD drive however I cannot seem to find them, or even which model of drive I have. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 6530.

 

Any ideas or suggestions would be most welcome
