Have tried about 5 straight of an ISO. and getting the same error each time.

Also, these are the ones from Singapore, and I've also never had a problem with these up until today.

Yep, 2.4x 3 times, and 4x and 8x twice, still got the error.

Perhaps a lens cleaning disc might help.

 

8x is not an option - it will only use the 4x speed. You can see the allowed speeds on the row for the media code in the log.
