LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Seeing as how that's a 16x drive, I'd have to say 'CMC MAG. AM3' media isn't supported by the BGS4 firmware - that's why you're only offered 1x, 2x and 4x write speeds. You might be able to crossflash to the retail LiteOn firmware (BS0Y), failing that, get yourself another drive or some different discs. Windows XP SP3 has been out for ages btw.
jpopeski Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 how would i go about crossflashing my drive?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Visit the liteon section over at the MyCE forums. Download the flash tool and the firmware binary file. Flash away. I'm sure if you search for your drive model number over there that you'll find a thread talking about doing exactly what you need to do.
jpopeski Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Thank you very much for the help! Got it working switching to sohw- 1653s csot!
