180bysummer Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) Hi Guys Sorry to come over here an leach resources (I'm very noob otherwise I would have already been here helping others with their issues!), but I have to nasty little issue that has caused me to throw out quite a few Taiyo Yuden discs. I have attached my log: Burn fails seem to happen regardless of if I use 8 speed or 16 speed Taiyo Yuden. Fails whether I have Kaspersky running or not. Fails when writing all sorts of various media. Burn also fails sometimes deep into the burn, or within the first minute. I have the latest firmware. My burner is a LG GH22NP20. Running Windows 7 64 bit. If anybody can help me, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm almost ready to blindly buy a replacement burner! Cheers! EDIT: I'll also add, when it fails, I get the I/O Error! ianymaty Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 The latest firmware for your drive is 2.0, you have 1.04 installed http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22NP20/files.html Also try a lower speed instead of MAX
