bobgoblin Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Hi, hoping someone can help. I've read one other thread on this but it was closed so I couldn't reply and ask the question I had. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 with Wine 1.2.2 and have installed Imgburn successfully, however when I launch it doesn't detect the DVD writer. I've successfully written a DVD with Ubuntu so it knows the drive is there and it can use it. I've done the autodetect business in wine and it sees the drive too. The only thing I haven't tried is changing the I/O settings to ASPI as suggested in the other post I read; I haven't done this because I don't know how (very novice Ubuntu & Imgburn user!) Can anyone help please? Many thanks.
mmalves Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 You can change the I/O interface in Tools -> Settings -> I/O tab. If you feel like playing around, you could try changing SPTI - Device Enumeration Method (in the same above mentioned tab) to Device Class or Drive Letter to see if it works with the default SPTI interface.
bobgoblin Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 Thanks, that's brilliant! All working now and writing a DVD as I type. Couldn't find it before because I was looking for it in Ubuntu and Wine - didn't even think of the obvious and have a look in Imgburn! That's how green I am Thanks again.
