TS-H552U burnt out?

Hi there. I have a TS-H552U CD/DVD rewriter running on Win XP Home SP3, with US09 firmware. It's been dodgy for a while as far as power problems but I thought I'd check to see if it's a software / media problem before binning the thing, so...here I am

 

I have been apparently able to burn 2 DVDs of an ISO but each time that particular image hasn't been able to be viewed in Explorer, I have tried various discs (currently only have Verbatim DVD-Rs) and that changes nothing in regard to errors I'm getting. Nero gave me a lot more errors but ImgBurn (recently installed) also can't burn to the discs properly I think since the discs aren't verifying and aren't visible in Explorer afterwards. This latest log (see below) suggested Count Session not Equal (is that sectors?) and Layouts do not Match.

 

Anyway - I would appreciate your help with this to rule out if it's a software / media problem or not. I've attached the Image Graph for the recent ISO which matches the log below too.
