zanxion Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I have been using Verbadim's DL disks with the latest version of imgburn and recently I have discovered that in these disks one file is unreadable. Actually it is my first time recording on DL disks. I suspect that it has to do with setting the layer break when recording on them. Could somebody help me on this? I have not much knowledge on it and I am not sure how to look for info on it. Is there a way to recover these unreadable files?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Post of log of you burning and verifying the disc / problem data please. (as per the pink box up the top ) If it burns and verifies fine, you shouldn't have a problem reading anything that's on it. The layer break doesn't itself make anything readable/unreadable.
zanxion Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 I don't have the log any more. Should I burn and verify next time I try a DL disk? Would that pose a mater of DL recording capability of my laptop's recorder?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 For what it's worth, old logs are saved automatically - you can access them via the Help menu in the program. Of course if they're gone then they're gone. I have no faith in any slimine burner for burning anything. Yes, burn + verify next time you try a DL disc.
