renans Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I'm brand new to this, but I have followed guides and tried my best to do all the research I possibly could before posting. I am trying to burn an iso to a DVD+R DL Verbatim disk and it began working perfectly fine, it stopped at 13% and was at 0 Kb/s so I just left it on hoping that something was going to change and so I come back 2 hours later and still at 13%, I don't know what I was doing but it ended burning again? It now stopped at 30% and is again currently at 0 Kb/s Here is the log: I 19:17:04 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! Rincewind Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) See if there are any firmware updates to your burner. To do that you must be in amy other mode except EZ-Mode Picker. Go to tools -> Drive -> Check for firmware updates. Also: I 19:18:35 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-001-00) (Speeds: 2.4x) W 19:18:35 Write Speed Miscompare! - Wanted: 2,770 KB/s (2x), Got: 3,324 KB/s (2.4x) Since only 2.4x was supported, 2.4x was used. DL discs cannot support burn speeds lower than 2.4x anyways, nor SL discs for that matter I think. Anyways, if there are no updates available for your burner try cleaning your burner with a cleaning disc, and try again. Just remember to set the AWS to the proper speed of your discs, in this case 2.4x. -edit You seem to have cut off the log? Please include the ENTIRE log. Edited April 23, 2011 by Rincewind
mmalves Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 You should enable Windows Update (look in Control Panel) so that your OS is updated to the latest version. After doing that, and possibly rebooting a few times, look for the latest drivers for your chipset/storage controllers (this website might help).

Well the burn is STILL up, I didn't cut the log, it simply stopped right there.. Is there ANY way I can continue the burn? Or do I just have to throw the disk away?
renans Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 And also, all the drivers are up to date and so is my imgburn so it can't be that..

Rincewind Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 No helpful information yet -.- Really!? Its service pack 2 for Vista, might be a good idea to install it. It might actually solve your problem.
