HL-DT-ST GP08LU30 can't set booktype

I have a HL-DT-ST GP08LU30 1.01 and I'm trying to set the booktype to DVDROM but when I choose LG from the tabs and choose Drive (For DVD+R DL Media) it says:

 

unknown (FAILED!)

Reason: Illegal Mode For This Track

 

If I chose Advanced, it explains some instructions and gives an example:

 

Drive OEM: Samsung

Drive ID String: SONY DVD RW DRU-830A

 

I don't really understand what it's asking me to do, but I'm wondering if this will help me override the issue with setting the booktype.

It automatically booktypes DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM by itself, so you don't need to worry about it.
