TedP Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Hello; I have problem with burning DVDs sccesfuly. My OS is Vista Home Pemium with Service Pack 2. Also I have two burners , one is OPTIRAC DVD burner and another is Philips BD burner. Both fail to burn Taiyo Yuden , and Verbatim DVD disks. I try about 50 Taiyo Yuden and 7 Vrbatim disk with no succes. In most caseys burn stop and I can't close program and can't eject disk using button or right clicking on drive icon. Few times computer freeze and all icons from desktop and also task bar desapiere. Shuting down from task manager causeing windows to recover from unexpected shut down. What pay my attentios is that , on same drive , burning process stop exacly in the same point when I try to burn Taiyo Yuden And Verbatim disks. ( attached screenshot ). In the mindtime I was able to burn with success Ritek (labeled as Maxell) DVD-RW. Don't have any upper or lower filters but have Lower Class Filter PxHelp20. Can this be removed safely? ImgBurn.log
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Try burning in safe mode and report back if you have the same problem(s).
TedP Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 In safe mode I have different problem with Philips drive , but it is same problem with Optirac drive ImgBurn1.log
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 It's not just stopping with either of them in that log. The Philips drive reports: E 11:41:21 Failed to Reserve Track! - Reason: Program Memory Area Is Full and the Optiarc drive reports: W 11:47:12 Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error Now I know you said you've tried with Taiyo Yuden discs, but it may help us if you could get hold of some others and post 'safe mode' logs from some TYG02 / TYG03 burns. I think I'd be tempted to invest in a £20 LiteOn/Optiarc drive to perform additional tests with.
TedP Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Thank You I might agree on Optirac drive.Concerning Philips , what mean "Power Memory Are Is Full" Is it indicated bed drive or something wrong with system? Ted
