Howcho Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 I am brand new to BD-RE and have encountered the error message "Logical Block Address out of Range." This is only the third disc I have tried to burn after 2 successes. I have a feeling this might be an OVERBURN issue, or perhaps a corupt file...I hope someone can help. I did search the topics regarding overburning and I do already have "prefer format without spare areas" checked. My new BD-RE is supposed to support overburn and I believe the firmware is up to date. Could it be I am trying to overburn too much? Pasted below is the event log which I know you need to see to troubleshoot. FYI, this is my second attempt. The first I chose to finalize the disc and the second try I did not...to the same result. I appreciate any advise you can offer. Many thanks in advance! I 20:28:01 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! Cynthia Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 W 20:33:49 User accepted disc space warning and is attempting to overburn! That's your root to the problem. As you can see in the sector value of the first write error, there are no free sectors after what is reported by the available sectors on the disc. I 20:33:49 Destination Media Sectors: 11,826,176 W 20:47:08 Failed to Write Sectors 11826176 - 11826207 - Reason: Logical Block Address out of Range Shrink the movie down with something like BD-RB to make it fit the size of the discs you are using.
