ASUS DRW 1814BLT writing problem after firmware upgrade

yeah, so hello, i'm new to IMGburn (2 days of use) and i've been tryin to burn these damned maxell dvd +r DL, i've burned about 8 or so so far and so far nothing happened. here's a log of what happened 2 minutes ago: i tried to burn an image and i got this :

So, why is my burner hanging?

 

the problem is not the fact that my burner won't burn, the problem is that actually the burner burned dvds before the upgrade without any problems but when i inserted the disks in my xbox, although it saw the game after inserting it when i tried to run it it said "disk unreadable".

 

if you do have the time, please advise, i'm tired of failing and not knowing what i'm doing wrong

If you still want to try with your current media, try burning a brand new blank disc at 6x speed. You could also try a lens cleaning disc but I'm not sure if it would help much.

haha the funny thing is that the game started, and although i KNOW it's gonna freeze at one random time, i'm ok with that, and by the way, my burner is not dead, i haven't used it in a while. why should i burn at 6?
