68scout800 Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 i think i figured that out, there are two folders on the dvd an audio_ts and video_ts file on the dvd. I searched the internet and found a program called Folder2Iso_v1.3.exe. It told me how to make an ISO file? then it suggested to get free software called DVD Decrypter, but that software is no longer free. I thought that ImgBurn would help....
68scout800 Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 so i do have files on my hard drive. not sure what they are... One folder has the Audio_ts and Video_TS files in it the other folder has a .mds and .iso file in it....
cornholio7 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 if you have an .mds file just open imgburn and navigate to it you may want to look here http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=4
68scout800 Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 what's the difference between single layer and double layer?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Forget folder2iso, just copy the data off that dvd to your hdd in explorer. Make a nice folder for them called 'presentation' or something. So then you'll have the audio_ts + video_ts folders in a folder called 'presentation'. Then load imgburn and point the 'Build' mode source stuff towards the 'presentation' folder. You can probably figure out the rest by reading the guides corny pointed out.
cornholio7 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 single layer is 4.7Gb and double layer is 8.5Gb

68scout800 Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 well i guess that would explain it. I got a new laptop recently from work. It was my understanding that all new PCs and laptops would have a DVD burner...guess that isn't that case huh! thanks for your help

cornholio7 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 no problem- you could buy an external burner and connect it via usb or firewire
