Chuck_W Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 A newby question....how does burning an iso file in imgburn yield a bootable disk? What is in a bootable disk that is recognized by the computer that makes it bootable?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 A machine can boot a disc if it has 'El Torito' descriptors/information on it. You can Google it ('El Torito') if you so wish. All that stuff would already need to be present in a pre-existing ISO, it isn't / can't be added during the actual burn.
