Docfxit Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Hi, I'd like to figure out what size file I should specify when I create a backup with Macrium Reflect. I understand that: A single layer DVD-R holds 4,707,319,808 bytes A single layer DVD+R holds 4,700,372,992 bytes If I specify the file size in Macrium Reflect to be 4.6gb the file that gets written is: Altap Salamander reports 4,294,956,134. Windows 7 explorer reports 4,194,294Kb With ImageBurn I don't see a way to tell how much space I have available to work with. I really liked the gas gauge with Nero so I could figure out at a glance if I could fit more data on a DVD. Does ImageBurn 2.5.5.0 show some place how much free space is left on a DVD? Thanks for a great program, Docfxit
Docfxit Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 I just found the calculator button that tells me exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, Dodfxit
