SweBurner Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Hello I'm new to this burning stuff, and would be very glad if someone could assist me. So i tried to burn a back-up for a xbox game to a DVD +R DL (8x speed, 8.5gb single sided), and these DVDs may not be those that all of you recomend, it's from a brand called TDK, and they where kind of expensive so i think they are not the problem. Anyway, when i try to burn, it runs for 1 minute and then i get an I/O error; here is my log I 01:09:42 Operation Started! SweBurner Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 I 01:09:42 Destination Media Sectors: 3 827 520 Was that a new disc you used? It looks "used". i have to change the disc? I checked it and there where no memory used up on the disc so i thought i could use it again. No problem if i can't i have 9 more. I'm going to post a log from a fresh DVD
SweBurner Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 Ok, so i tried a new disc, and burned it in 8x (later adjusted to 6x by ImgBurn), and it worked. The first disc i tried to burn i ran in 1x, which failed totaly. Well, problem solved - Thanks anyway
Cynthia Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Hej! The first disc i tried to burn i ran in 1x, which failed totaly. The only speeds you can use for this media code are (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x; 6x) Selecting something like 8x will only revert it to the supported 6x.
