Hii al,

i have a problem on another system not related to my other question i posted here.

 

Please chek the atached file screenshot my question is, is my dvd burner broken or is there somthing else wrong ?

since a while, when i try to burn a new dvd in the end it gives my this message and the dvd is useless. :-(

Update the firmware on your drive.

Try burning at 8x instead of 5x (which doesn't exist anyway - hence 4x is being used).

did update the firmware wich went ok! wil test it with trying to burn a new dvd wil let you know the

results later

hmm bad news, did just try to burn another dvd

same issue again,

any ideas? another firmware update?

i did not folow your advice:

Try burning at 8x instead of 5x (which doesn't exist anyway - hence 4x is being used).

but this went ok first time i tried

second time it failed

i wil try burning at 8x or 4x and let you know if this fixes it

Clean the drive with a cleaning disc.

 

After that you should probably get a new drive.

 

It should not be having problems burning MCC-004-00 media.
