I’m looking to preserve long file names in mixed case but haven’t been able to wrestle the several parameters to the ground.

Using ISO9660 I get truncation at about 212 and all characters converted to UPPER_CASE with underbars. UDP (2.60) preserves mixed case and doesn’t add underbars but truncates at about 123.

I see in the Forum that UDP without Unicode support gets 254 characters

Have Unicode support and get limited to 127 characters. Don't have Unicode support and get the full 254 characters.”

Can you point me to the “No Unicode” parameter? I will use “Data to DVD” but have been testing parameters by writing to a CD-RW a single folder containing a maximum WIN 7 file name.

Thanx

WIN 7, ImgBurn 2.5.5.0

I 14:35:06 Device: [3:1:0] LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1S 9L02 (F:) (ATA)

I 14:35:06 Media Type: CD-RW (Disc ID: 97m25s30f, Infodisc Technology Co.) (Speeds: 4x, 10x)

Advanced -> Restrictions -> UDF

If you change the ISO9660 character set, you won't get uppercase + '_'.

Thanks Lightning UK! & mmalves. I have success.
