DJ0182 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Hello. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me? I have "[removed]" in which I download movies in turn go into an AVI file, and for the life of me I can not successfully transfer any of the movies into a readable DVD. I tried it yesterday and the DVD worked on my PS3. However it did not work on a regular DVD player. If anyone out there can help me I would be eternally grateful. Thank you DJ.
Rincewind Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Your PS3 supports playback of .AVI files apparently however your standard player does not. You need to convert your .AVI file into the proper DVD format (VIDEO_TS directory with IFO,BUP,VOB files). Look into a program called DVDFlick it is free, and will produce a valid DVD-Video disc from your .AVI file.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Why don't you just Google "convert AVI to DVD" ? ImgBurn (which is what this forum is for) is a burning tool, not a video conversion tool.
DJ0182 Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 Thank you so very much. I work in a hospital for children with special needs and we do not get too many DVD or VHS donations from the public. We are a non profit hospital and being able to burn a DVD of Harry Potter is going to mean the world to them. Once again thank you for your help and God bless.
