I really have read the "Cheap medias" and other things here on forum, but i'm using a good media (verbatim 8x) and with a HP dv4-1530br (notebook DVD writer). Errors reported from retries often don't mean anything. LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Yes, it's the media. 2.4x Verbatim discs should use the MKM-001-00 dye/MID 8x Verbatim discs should use the MKM-003-00 dye/MID See if you can return yours to where you got them from and then buy the real thing elsewhere.
