mic72 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Hello! I'm not sure if it's just a misconfiguration or a real bug: Reading out a disc (Disc->ISO) with ImgBurn 2.5.5.0 that was just burned (ISO->Disc) before results in an ISO file that is one sector longer than the original image. Cheers
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Whilst I do appreciate the time you spent signing up and posting this bug report, if you were in my position, would you be able to do anything with the info you've provided? Probably not. Where's the 'proof' as it were? Where's the log from the burn and read operations? Where's the disc info from the burnt disc? It's very likely this is perfectly normal. Drives sometimes round up the number of sectors that get burnt to the nearest multiple of 16 - so if you had an image of 15, the drive would make the up to 16. This is particularly true when using DVD+ (plus) format media.
mic72 Posted August 3, 2011 Author Posted August 3, 2011 I can confirm that the new size is indeed a multiple of 16... as soon as I find a DVD-R media I'll check if this happens again. Anyway here's the LOG and disc info: Status: Complete State of Last Session: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 1.595.776 Size: 3.268.149.248 bytes Time: 354:39:01 (MM:SS:FF) File System Information: Sectors: 1.595.775 Size: 3.268.147.200 bytes Time: 354:39:00 (MM:SS:FF) TOC Information: Session 1... LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Some drives will even round up when burning DVD-R. ImgBurn itself is working fine though and doing exactly what it should be doing.
