jam-roly-poly Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I understand this is a forum for Imageburn, which is a program I use reguarly Blah blah blah. But judging by the topics I have read there are some very clued up people on this forum with a vast knowledge of computing so I figured you may be able to help me. I have scouredgoogle and keep getting the same rubbish answers to poorly asked questions. I have a good knowledge of computers (compared to most and can find my way around well enough. My problem is that my wireless devices will no longer connect to my wireless network. They can see it, I know the network key i am entering is right. They used to work but just will not. I am sure it must just be something to do with ip adresses or needing to change a setting or enable one of the options on the router. but i have no idea which. I doubt you need details of my router as they all do generally the same thing. but if you do let me know. Thanks for any help.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Well, the first thing you should try is disabling any sort of wireless security on the router and then see if it can connect ok. If it can, move the security up 1 level (probably from 'none' to 'wep') and then try it again. Then repeat until it stops working. Where you have to use keys and passphrases, use simple ones first and then go for the complex ones if they work ok.
