No Seek complete

This is just strange. 6 months ago I made back up copies of some DVDs I had. I have done nothing different tonight. I am using the same hardware and discs (Sony DVD-R; I also know the suggestion to use DVD+R, but I have even more problems with those) and IMG burn to make another copy, yet it gets to 93% and fails.

So I update the IMG Burn software to the 2.5.5 version. Same thing! So I try a different DVD, and I get to 99% on another one and the same error happens. The Firm ware seems updated.

I rebooted and still fails.

I don't know what I am doing different or wrong. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

Howard

Okay, I just found an old DVD+R and it worked. So whatever has changed, I can now use the + when in the past in could only use the - DVDs.

Is it possible that I bought a bad batch of DVDs from Sony?

Sorry to bug the wizards of smart here. Just trying to figure things out.
