LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 Beyond cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc, there probably isn't anything you can do. Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 If you don't format the disc properly/in the same way, there is of course a good chance your drive won't error out in the same way. I have to try then to burn with fastwrite BD-RE enabled and finally the write speed is 2X Now, if I understand correctly what you told me it could be that the disk has defects and that some data may be poorly written. LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 7, 2011 Share Posted September 7, 2011 If it formats with spare areas disabled, you don't need FastWrite enabled. The only option you'd (should!) need to disable to get past that formatting error is the 'Perfer Format With Full Certification' one. So turn that off (and Fastwrite too if you've enabled it), do another full format and see how it goes. Leave Verify enabled when you burn so it checks the data that has been burnt to it.
