TFL Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I used to make AVCHD DVD's that were readable on the PS3. I'm using the latest imgburn with Maxell DVD+RDL disks. Unfortunately every disc I have burned recently is unreadable by the PS3. I'm sure there's some little tweak I'm missing or got reset during an update but I can't figure it out. The DVD's are readable by the PC's blueray drive that I used to burn it so I don't think its a media problem and I've burned many DVD's from the same batch with older versions of imgburn. I seem to remember some discussion about setting book type and I also seem to remember that it should be set to "DVD-R" but whatever I try to do , Imgburn lists book type as "DVD-ROM" in the log. Can anyone help?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 What program are you using to create the AVCHD folder structure in the first place? Post a log of you burning + verifying such a disc please.
TFL Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 What program are you using to create the AVCHD folder structure in the first place? Post a log of you burning + verifying such a disc please. I used multiAVCHD to create the disc either in direct mode or first creating an ISO file and then burning from that (in the past, when I was successfully burning these discs, creating the ISO file was the only way I could force Imgburn to burn the blank DVR+RDL disc as a DVD-R disc). That seems to be the crux of the problem.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 DVD-R isn't an option. Either you leave it as DVD+R DL or you set it to DVD-ROM.
TFL Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Well then maybe I'm not recalling how I created the last twentry or so double layer DVD's. How would you recommend I burn a DVD+RDL that will read on a Playstation 3? As I mentioned the latest batch of DVD's I tried burning all read fine on a PC but do not read on a PS3.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I can't help until you post a log - I did ask nicely in post # 2. Assuming your ImgBurn settings are ok, it must the source files (and / or folder structure) that's wrong - in which case you should take this problem up with the author of multiAVCHD over at the Doom9 forums.
