No writers Detected

Alright, so I'm getting the ole "No writers dectected" Error. I tried uninstalling it from the Device Manager and then restarting, no dice. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, and my drive is "Sony Optiarc 18X SATA DVD-ROM Drives DDU1681S-0B (Black)" Maybe my drive just can't write, only read? I'm not sure what the issue is, but any assistance would be great.
