viktorjonasson Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hello! Ok, so i've been trying to burn an xbox 360 game onto a Verbatim DVD +R DL (8x) disc (#43666, made in india). I've got a Vaio laptop with a Matshita UJ870QJ and according to amazon.com's info on my laptop (VGN-Fw11E) the drive should be able to write to DL-media: Exrtact from amazon: Optical Storage CD / DVD Rewrite Speed: 16x (CD) / 6x (DVD-RW) / 8x (DVD+RW) / 5x (DVD-RAM) Optical Storage (2nd) Read Speed: 24x (CD) / 8x (DVD) Type: DVD±RW (±R DL) / DVD-RAM - integrated Write Speed: 24x (CD) / 8x (DVD±R) / 4x (DVD±R DL) Problem is it doesn't work, i keep getting the same error messages. The burn itself doesn't even start. I've tried different burning speeds, doesn't work. I've tried burning an .avi file onto the same DL-discs, doesn't work. I've tried burning the same .avi file onto a regular Verbatim DVD +R single layer and THAT works. So basically something goes wrong when burning onto DL. But what? Posting my log. Attached state before burning (disc info and so on) Thankful for any help I 19:03:13 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 If it won't burn at any speed, either you've got a faulty spindle of discs or the drive is faulty. (slim line ones are rubbish anyway)
