dude22 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 (edited) Hello Imgburn forum. I have an solution for the BenQ 1625,HP640C, Philips DVD16LS Dual Layer problems.. these drives are rebadged BenQ1625 and it does not support 8x DL media not even Verbatim ! With this firmware patch it supports Verbatim,Platinum, Memorex,Mediarange 8x Dual layer media.. I have tested all these media except Verbatim.. but the 8x Verbatim should works also. I will test the Verbatim when I get them.. I wanted to reply to some old threads but the forum won't let me maybe an moderator can add an link to this thread on those old threads. get the firmware patch here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y83JCL7K http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=18042 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=18490&st=0&p=134365&hl=640c&fromsearch=1entry134365 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9402 Imgburn rocks Edited October 26, 2011 by dude22
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Whilst I appreciate the effort on your part, I think these drives are probably too old for anyone to really care about! People that lived and died by the BenQ's will have probably retired them in the switch to SATA... I know I did!
dude22 Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 (edited) yeah true but perhaps somebody else is still using this drive.. who knows. maybe somebody will find this thread with google ,buying a new writer is a bit unnecessary especially with the prices of HDD's so low. mmalves Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 buying a new writer is a bit unnecessary especially with the prices of HDD's so low. Not if you burn a lot of backups for "friends"
