DVD gets ejected once during buring

Dears All,

 

I finally found out why Imgburn was making my DVDs unusable after burning. Actually, it was ejecting the disk just after burning was complete and before verification and finalization.

 

The burning process completes successfully if I push the DVD back in the drive manually. The DVD was also usable/good.

 

I am posting the log of the burning process, and I am also indicating the point at which it ejects the disk.

 

Can anybody let me know the reason behind this strange behavior?

I have no idea what you mean when you say that. Cycling the tray does nothing to the disc itself.

 

It ejects *after* the burn has totally finished and before the verify starts.

 

It's the only way to really test things properly.

 

If you don't eject and reinsert the disc, the drive never has to reinitialise it - and that's often a point of failure.

I do not know because I just moved to Imgburn after Nero/Ashampoo Burning Studio started to give me errors.

 

Imgburn is writing the disk properly, I really appreciate that. For me, Imgburn scores high over these expensive software.

Of course.

 

If it wasn't 'normal', it certainly wouldn't be telling you that it was doing it (and obviously it is/does)!

Like I said before, cycling the tray so the drive is forced to reinitialise the disc is part of the verification process.
