Got a new liteon ihas 324B yesterday. Installed the latest firmware to support burning the full dual layer. Burned one game perfectly. The second one froze at 31%. I restarted the computer and tried again, but get this error. I tried TAO as well with no luck.

What controller is the drive attached to?

Right click the drive selection box and select 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt and then copy + paste the family tree lines from the log window.

You should install SP1 for Windows 7.

Hmmm, you are onto something. I see it list the drive as a RAID

I have it plugged in through a sata card I got for my xbox. I guess I need to plug it into the motherboard directly and plug the second hard drive into the sata card?

I 07:31:21 Family Tree:

I 07:31:21 -> ACPI x64-based PC

I 07:31:21 -> Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System

I 07:31:21 -> PCI bus

I 07:31:21 -> Intel® 82801 PCI Bridge - 244E (VEN_8086&DEV_244E - Intel)

I 07:31:21 -> VIA RAID Controller - 3249 (VEN_1106&DEV_3249 - VIA)

I 07:31:21 -> CD-ROM Drive (ATAPI iHAS324 B SCSI CdRom Device) (Bus Number 0, Target Id 0, LUN 0)

Optical drives don't normally work very well on 3rd party controller cards - especially if they're running in RAID mode.

So yeah, try and get the drive off it if possible.

Do you really only have 2 onboard SATA ports? That's a little odd for a machine running Windows 7.

Ill give that a try tonight.

Yeah, only 2 sata ports. The motherboard is probably 3 years old. Almost ready for an upgrade. Can I switch it out of raid mode? I know nothing about raid...

Thank you so much, your knowledge is greatly appreciated!!!

I simply swapped my spare drives sata connector with the dvd(so that the dvd was hooked directly to the mobo and the hd to the sata card). Now the drive shows up as (ATA) instead of RAID, and more importantly, imgburn works like a charm again! :thumbup:
