I Would also find this very useful

 

you could try using the Nero add-on that liteon supply (ltnlt.exe)

 

or just add the don't finalise option

 

and the liteon smart pack utility only supports DVD-R/+R but Nero will do it on anything using the above app/add-on

 

I am very interested in this becoming a reality
