Laypouts do not match

Just posting this since for some reason I do not have permission to post to other threads.

 

I had this error "layouts do not match" with a failed verification and it really had me scratching my head.

 

If you look at your disc after receiving this error, you will likely find that nothing at all was written to the disc.

 

The problem for me turned out to be this:

 

I do not use my CD/DVD very much at all, in fact almost never.

 

After searching all over the internet to find a solution nothing seemed to work to correct the problem.

Finally, I open my CD tray and took a look at the mechanism. As it turned out, due to lack of use/cleaning, the

transport mechanism for the laser was sticking.

 

I cleaned the drive and no more problems.
