drive problem

Hello Im new to the forum and would like advice,help,and inlightment!!!!!

So when i downloaded imgburn and read the instuctions...i then tried burning a disc

1.problem came up,when I inserted a disC(DVD+R DL)my drive came up in the drop menu but the disc was not.I 10:49:03 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started!

2.So i tried updating the firmware...that was sucsessful,but the problem was not solved.

3.Then i tried some other opperation(erasing)the message that came up was.

So please if there is any info or something I can do to fix this.... I would appriciate the INLIGHTMENT

If your drive can't see (recognise/initialise) the disc you've put in it, try some other discs.
