damian Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I tried creating an image file from various audio cd's. All hang at "Reading CD-TEXT Information...". I've tried running as admin, and temporarily disabling my AV and Intel RST. No luck. Any ideas? Thanks. Oh, and I have to open the tray before I can get the program to exit. ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 - Log ; Monday, 12 December 2011, 12:05:15 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 12:04:24 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Which Intel RST drivers are you running? With my controller set to AHCI mode in the BIOS and the v10.8.0.1003 Intel RST drivers installed, I have no such issue with reading CD-TEXT. It could be a drive issue but it shouldn't be. Do you have any filter drivers listed? (check the feature in the Tools menu) Same issue if you boot into safe mode?
damian Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) Which Intel RST drivers are you running? With my controller set to AHCI mode in the BIOS and the v10.8.0.1003 Intel RST drivers installed, I have no such issue with reading CD-TEXT. It could be a drive issue but it shouldn't be. Do you have any filter drivers listed? (check the feature in the Tools menu) Same issue if you boot into safe mode? I have the latest RST drivers, the same version as you. The drive has worked for this particular purpose with ImgBurn before. I'll check running in safe mode soon. I have the following listed for 'filter driver load order': =============================================== Filter Driver Load Order - ImgBurn v2.5.6.0 =============================================== Upper Device Filter: [None Found] Upper Class Filter: [None Found] Device: CD/DVD-ROM Device Lower Class Filter: cdrbsdrv Lower Device Filter: [None Found] Filter Name: cdrbsdrv File Name: C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\cdrbsdrv.sys File Version: 8. 0. 0. 5 [8.0.0.5] File Description: CD-ROM Filter Driver for WindowsXP x64Edition Product Name: B's Recorder GOLD Product Version: 8. 0. 0. 5 [8.0.0.5] Company Name: B.H.A Corporation Copyright: Copyright © 2000-2006 B.H.A Corporation Should that filter be there? I know nothing about it. Thanks again. ***Update*** It does NOT hang in safe mode. Edited December 12, 2011 by damian
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 It does NOT hang in safe mode. Ok, so try with that filter removed.
damian Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 It does NOT hang in safe mode. Ok, so try with that filter removed. Sorry, it seems I was mistaken. Upon further testing, some discs will hang, while a few others will not. The behavior with a particular disc is consistent, whether in safe mode or full boot. I'll remove the filter anyway and see if it works with one of the trouble discs during a normal session. Is ImgBurn the origin of said filter?
