LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Update the firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22NS50/files.html Try all the supported speeds. If 2 drives are failing to burn anything on those discs, maybe it's their fault and not the drives.
sparafucille Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 I already noticed that and updated to TN02 and then to TN03 (last one I found) will try lower speeds thank you for your quick replay

If 2 drives are failing to burn anything on those discs, maybe it's their fault and not the drives. updated firmware to TN03 switched to Verbatim DVD-R and it still fails so it is not a media problem Now it is not a synchronize failure problem but failure to write Leadin (that is why I opened a new thread that you locked) here's the log again: ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 - Log ; ???á?????, 15 ????? 2011, 13:11:13 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 13:05:50 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Go get another non LG drive. It's hard to believe you've had 2 bad drives but I guess it could happen.
sparafucille Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Go get another non LG drive. It's hard to believe you've had 2 bad drives but I guess it could happen. changed to a third device (still LG GH22NS50 TN03 and for the first time in a week or so I succeeded in burning a Verbatim DVD-R of data in 8x. This is not a proof that everything works. Now I have to try a DL, but it gives me some hope that it is my bad luck. thanks you for all your advice.
sparafucille Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 partial solution: got 2 iso files of 8GB (more exactly iso+mds) burnt on a verbatim at speed 4 and it succeeded! twice! maybe this is a solution for me until I replace my LG still no success with data (many files). I have to turn to my old and weak XP and burn now I have a solution: turn to ISO and burn on current Win7
