dbminter Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Is it possible to change the DOSBox software to look for dosbox-0.74.conf in an alternate location other than C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\DOSBox?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Use the '-conf "filename.conf"' command line switch to point it at another one. Telling it where to load something from is something you'd normally put in the config file... but it's a little hard to relocate the config file from within itself I've read that it'll load a dosbox.conf file from the folder of the app you're running. Not sure if that would fit your needs though.
dbminter Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 Discovered the Autoexec line in the dosbox .conf file in the most recent PC World. I was hoping to just have a shortcut or setting that could redirect the file to somewhere other than the Windows partition structure. That switch you mentioned does the trick. Thanks!
